"European Development Co-operation"

organized by the Working Group on Aid Policy and Performance


This call for papers fits into the overall objective of the working group to analyse the policy and performance of European governments European Union with regard to their policies vis-à-vis developing countries, with particular reference to their development co-operation and North-South policies. The group also aims at exploring the various forms and instruments involved in such relationships, again with particular reference to development co-operation. Evaluation of development assistance - and various approaches in this regard - is also a part the working group's overall tasks.

a) New Policies and Themes in European Development Co-operation

Suggested Topics for Authors on paper presentations:
In particular, researchers are invited to present empirical case studies on the above mentioned subjects. Further, forward looking analytical papers on the role of donors and development assistance in current relations between North and South will be appreciated.

b) EU Development Co-operation

This session will be part of EADI's project 'European Development Co-operation 2010'. The Working Group will try to invite and raise the interest of, in particular, young scholars in this project.

Suggested topics for authors on paper presentations: In particular, researchers are invited to present empirical case studies on the above mentioned subjects. Further, forward looking analytical papers of Europe's role in international cooperation with developing countries will be appreciated.
