What is the purpose of the EADI General Conference?

The EADI General Conference is held every three years and assembles more than 500 participants involved or interested in development issues. The Conference is part of EADI's activities conducted in order to broaden and deepen the scientific network of development research among its members. Further on, it aims at influencing the public perception and policy implementation of development related subjects within Europe and the world. This year's General Conference "Global Governance and Policy Coherence for Sustainable Development - The Need for New Partnerships" is held in Geneva, 24-28 June 2008. Registration is open to anyone interested in the subject.

EADI Working Groups are persistent platforms of EADI members, sharing and discussing the results of their research within the EADI network. The Working Group Sessions will present and discuss the papers which were submitted to the call for papers.

Moreover, Parallel Sessions will be held. These are Panels with a thematic point of focus which were proposed by research institutes within the EADI network.

Within the Plenaries, relevant personalities from the field of development research and politics will set out latest developments and opinions concerning the subject.

All events are open to registered Conference participants.
