In this two-hour session, a vision paper developed by Jaques Forster, Richard Jolly and Hans Opschoor will be presented.
The general objective of the vision paper is to outline the current status and understanding of what “Development studies” entail and its future perspective, in view of eventually defining (minimum) quality and accreditation standards for development studies, taking account of its specific nature. In the workshop the paper will be presented for discusion and consolidated in view of defining next steps for the development of more specific accreditation standards and mechanisms.
